HEATHERS' HAPPY PIE!!

WHEN I USE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FARMER'S MARKET, BEFORE IT WAS TOO HARD ON ME TO CONTINUE,  OCCASIONALLY I WOULD HAVE LEFTOVERS, PIES, COOKIES, BREAD THAT HAD NOT SOLD, WHAT TO DO?? WHAT TO DO??

I AM NOT NEIGHBORLY AS A RULE, I LIKE TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE  THERE, BUT BE FRIENDLY, NOT REALLY.
BUT ABOUT THE TIME MY PARENTS WERE COMING A NEW FAMILY BOUGHT THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR;
MY MOM IS "QUEEN OF THE BABIES", SHE LOVES CHILDREN, AND SHE FELL HARD FOR THESE CHILDREN, DOING CRAFTS WITH THEM AT THE TABLE ON THE DECK, BUT THEN SHE BROUGHT THEM IN FOR A SNACK. I CAME HOME AND SAW THESE LITTLE TROLLS AT MY KITCHEN TABLE. YIKES!!!
I TOOK MOM ASIDE AND SAID TO HER THAT OMG!! THEY ARE LIKE STRAY CATS ONCE YOU FEED THEM, THEY COME BACK!!

AS TIME PASSED THE LITTLE TROLLS GREW ON ME LIKE A FUNGUS AND THEIR MOM BECAME MY SMOKING BUDDY AND I'M NOT SURE HOW IT STARTED, BUT ONE NIGHT WE ALL HAD DESSERT ON THE DECK, COFFEE, LAUGHTER, JUST THE BEST TIME AND SOON THEY WERE FAMILY, SO WHEN I WOULD COME HOME FROM THE MARKET I WOULD SEND OVER TREATS.
HEATHERS' FAVORITE WAS MY APPLE CRUMB PIE.
WOULD YOU LIKE THE RECIPE??
NO, I HAVE READ THIS FAR FOR NOTHING YOU CRAZY FOOL!!

YOU NEED A 9 INCH PIE CRUST THE RECIPE IS HERE.
YOU ARE GOING NEED TO PEEL 8 APPLES, I SLICE AROUND THE APPLE INSTEAD OF CORING AND CUTTING WEDGES, YOU END UP WITH MORE APPLE THAT WAY. I LAYER AS I GO. A LAYER OF APPLES, THEN BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON
UNTIL THE APPLES ARE GONE.
THE TOPPING IS 1C. FLOUR, 1C. BROWN SUGAR, 1 STICK OF BUTTER AND ABOUT
2TSP CINNAMON.
BAKE AT 350 DEGREES UNTIL YOU CAN POKE AND FREELY GET THE SKEWER COMPLETELY THROUGH AND THE CRUST IS BROWNED NICELY.

I MISS YOU SMOKING BUDDY AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER TO SEE YOU, COREY AND MY LITTLE TROLLS!!

TO EVERYONE ELSE, HAVE A HAPPY!!

The trolls say "we miss you aunt bunny". And thanks for this read...I just spit my coffee all over the table! For the readers, Aunt(i) Bunny, grandma, grandpa and Dylan became the family we never knew we had! We really miss them a lot! Heather's pie is TO DIE FOR, but I have a special place in my heart for Aunt Bunny's Punkin Roll! I will beat you down if you step in between me and that awesome explosion of delectable heaven! Can't wait to see y'all soon!
